Safety-General
Gas leak – If a gas leak is suspected.
- Turn off the gas supply at the cylinder using the valve on top of the gas bottle.
- Never search using a match.
- Open all doors and windows to allow any gas to escape.
- Check that the gas is not escaping from an unlit appliance.
- Do not operate any electrical apparatus, especially light switches.
- If the leak is not obvious, the campervan should be evacuated.
- Remember that gas is heavier than air and therefore sinks to the lowest point.
Loading the vehicle
- Load heavy items on the vehicle’s floor, ideally between the axles.
Maximum load
- The vehicle’s maximum weight is 3.5t. You can take approx. 300kg, to include people, fresh and waste water, fuel, personal items, food, bikes, BBQ, chairs, tents etc.
Before you set off in the campervan
- Ensure all items are stowed securely. Do not store heavy items in overhead lockers.
- Close and secure all lockers and cupboard doors.
- Close and secure all roof lights.
- Close and latch all windows (never drive with windows on night settings).
- Leave all curtains and blinds open to aid visibility.
- Ensure all gas appliances are turned off, and the gas bottles are correctly positioned, secured, and turned off.
- Ensure that the front seats are locked in the forward-facing position.
- Ensure the tracker card is switched on, or the engine will not start.
- Do not pitch in a position in which your vehicle will obstruct others coming in.
- Try to choose a dry, level area and with a hard base. If you have no alternative but to pitch on a slope, ensure that you drive down the slope when you leave.
- In poor site conditions, you are advised to keep engine revs as low as possible to avoid wheel spin and steer as straight as possible.
- Levelling of the campervan on your chosen pitch must be carried out (ramps supplied) in both directions for the refrigerator and other equipment to function correctly.
- If you are wild camping do not park under trees or the solar panel will not be able to function
The campervan is fitted with blinds and fly screens. These are incredibly fragile. Please take care when using them and use 2 hands. The dinette and kitchen window requires you to press in the small round buttons before lifting the levers.
Lockers
The lockers have a catch behind them – please do not just pull them, or the catch will break.
Water – Toilet – see videos
Toilet empty and refill – see video.
The toilet will only flush when the pump is switched on, and there is water in the toilet tank.
The RED toilet light will come on when the toilet needs to be emptied.
- The toilet flap MUST be in the closed position before removing the cassette to prevent damage.
- Pull the cassette out by lifting the green catch, then pull the green handle. The cassette will slide out freely. If it sticks, stop. You must check the toilet flap inside is closed, or this will cause damage.
Please do not travel with a full cassette tank (we advise empty, but certainly not over half-full). Also, do not travel with water in the toilet bowl, or it will splash out. See the motorhome parking locations app for places to empty your toilet water (black water).
Water taps & Shower.
These only work when the control panel is switched on, and there is fresh water in the tank. Please do not let them run if no water is available, as the motor will quickly burn out.
Electric – see videos
Control Panel
- If you are wild camping, please check the Leisure battery voltage regularly by pressing the middle button on the right-hand side. It will cycle through a few options. Keep pressing it until it shows a similar screen to the one below.
Fridge/Freezer – see video.
This works at all times of 12Volt only. To preserve the battery, if you are not hooked up, please leave it between 3-4 and put it into night mode when you go to bed.
To open the door, push the handle towards the front of the van, then pull it towards you.
Gas – see videos
Gas Bottles
The gas compartment kept locked at all times and the vents should NOT be obstructed.
Oven/Grill – see video
Grill – Please ensure to fully pull out the heat guard – failure to do so may result in the oven knob melting.
